The concept of preservation of the palace of Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich. Saint Petersburg, Russia
This work is devoted to the creation of the concept of preservation and adaptation of the object of cultural heritage of federal significance - the Palace of Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich – the House of Scientists named after M. Gorky. It is important to note that in architectural practice there are often projects and studies that are aimed at the preservation and development of historical buildings and structures, but this project is the first for this object. During the research, it was revealed that strict regulations apply on the territory of the facility, since the palace is located on the Palace Embankment, which is part of the historical center of St. Petersburg. Moreover, due to the current subject of protection, the list of permitted works at the facility is significantly reduced. Thus, the priority of the project is precisely the preservation of the Palace of Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich, as well as the creation of a comfortable environment for local residents and the guarantee of the successful functioning of the facility in the future by separating the functions operating at the facility.
